About Chris

Chris was born and raised in Morris. He and his wife, Suzy, are raising their children in Morris and they are proud to call it their home.

Chris Brown graduated from Morris Community High School in 1995 and graduated from Illinois State University in 1999. He currently serves on the Grundy County Board of Review, MCHS Quarterback Club, JJC Foundation Board and the Will County Children’s Advocacy Board. He is also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1024. 

In the past, he has served on the Grundy County United Way Board of Directors and was the chairman of the Grundy County Republicans from 2001 – 2006. He has also served as a volunteer coach with the Morris Warriors football team and as a basketball coach through the Morris YMCA.

Chris believes that Morris has given its residents a standard of living to be proud of, but also believes there are opportunities for improvement. He is looking forward to collaborating with Morris’ local organizations that work tirelessly to make Morris the special place that it is. He also believes economic expansion and business development within Morris are essential to its successful economic future.
